Ok, I didn't really realize how long it's actually been since I've been on this site until Bonie sent me a nudge...for the second time! I just re-read a couple of my previous journal entries and realized that so much has happened since then. SO much in fact that I don't actually have time to even start explaining at this point- it's 12:30 and I'm still in my pajamas, as is Ethan, and we have errands to run. Just wanted to write this to let any of you who might actually read my journals that I intend to be better about this. I recently was sucked into the MySpace world and spend a ton of time there but I have since realized that I haven't really been able to chat freely about what I'm doing these days as I don't want all of my "friends" on there to know. I'm going to be venting/gushing about my life and "career" on this site instead. Prepare for many journal updates on the frustrations of "working" at Arthur Murray's Dance Studio (explanation to come later!) Don't say I didn't warn you!!! P.S. My profile is incredibly dull and boring...and embarrassing. Any advice on how to change that would be much appreciated!

I think that I have talked to a bunch of you already but I wanted to post about my awesome news! I don't know if everyone knows that Shane and I recently started taking Ballroom dance lessons. Well, I have totally fallen in love. We took about 5 lessons and I thought that was going to be it for a while because they are kindof expensive but the head of the studio and our instructor worked a deal out for us! We are signed on for 8 (well 6 really because we have already had 2) more lessons together as a couple after which they are going to train me to be an instructor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for free!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!! I LOVE BALLROOM DANCE! Friday I went out(yeah, i know...me. I got to go out!) with a bunch of students and instructors from the studio and had an absolute blast! Everybody dances with everyone else and they are all so willing to help with any questions you might have! I've already met so many new people through doing this. It's been amazing so far. ***happy sigh***

Oh yeah, I also lost 10 pounds (and for those of you who haven't seen me in a while i had put on quite a bit of weight- hence the diet- not because I am looking to be super model thin or anything. Just healthier and happier!)on the Nutrisystem diet which I have to say was incredibly easy! I haven't even been working out..well unless you count all my dance lessons (Ballroom, Belly Dance,and Flamenco) which i guess should count for something although none of them are as aerobic as you would think- at least not yet!

To all of you out in and near California, just wanted to give you a friendly reminder that we will be out September 31st - October 7th. DON'T FORGET!!!

or so I thought until a couple weeks ago when our puppy Max first arrived. I realize that I should cut him some slack as he is only a baby....a baby with razor sharp teeth and claws that have already provided my hands and arms with a fair amount of scrapes that are guaranteed to scar! I mean how could I not love such a cute cuddly and furry little bundle that pees on my carpets and floors multiple times everyday? Just because he terrorizes my son to the point that he spends most of his days on the couch, chair, or coffee table only getting down long enough to run to one or the other so as not to have to encounter the wrath of Max who weighs almost as much as he does and whose favorite activities include licking and biting all things Ethan is no reason to get upset right? I guess it is kind of cute how he freaks out when he's done something bad and refuses to come when I call and when I catch up with him he gets so scared that he pees.And it is sort of funny when he dumps huge piles of poo in the back yard and then immediately forgets that he's done so and steps directly in them. I think my favorite thing he does has got to be when he gets so desperate to get upstairs that he jumps on the gate until it gives leaving behind big markings on my relatively newly painted walls so that he can run up the stairs where he knows he's not supposed to be, into my bedroom where he steals dirty laundry, thinking about how he'll be in big trouble as soon as I discover what he's done, the very thought scaring him to the the point of peeing...sometimes up and down the stairs. Ah yes, it's so rewarding to spend your days up to your elbows in shit and piss, wearing out a three year old and a three and a half month old puppy so that by the time my husband gets home they are all tuckered out perfect little angels who make me look and sound very much like a haggard old witch for complaining. Yes, life is so good I could puke!
